If we talk about Indian film industry, it is studded with numerous actors and actress of different genres. If asked specifically about the comic actor, the only person I can recall right now is Johny Lever, who ruled the Indian cinema for over five decades. Since childhood, I have seen him playing comic characters in the movies and still can’t get over him. He has been my favourite since I saw him in a movie called “Dulhe Raja”. His acting was very realistic and expressions were priceless. People started calling him the King of Comedy. After that I followed every movie he was in. In an interview, he said that he had come from a very poor family and faced my hardships to earn a place in the industry . He is known for his humble and down to earth personality. He is popular for his stand-up comedy acts and the confidence he exhibits on stage. Every joke he cracks, every role he plays, is sheer comedy that comes from within and does not seem to be fake or made up. I feel as if his body absorbs the character he plays and therefore it appears to be fantastic on screen. His movies are a fun-packed, entertaining and can be watched with family and that is why people admire him.
